A businessman from Zhangzhou, East China's Fujian province, was forced to pay a ransom of 185 kilograms of gold bars, valued at about 43 million yuan ($7.05 million), when he was abducted by fellow villagers in Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong province, on Sept 23, Xiamen Daily reported.
After more than a month of work, Zhangzhou and Shenzhen police finally arrested the suspects and seized the gold bars.
