Free treats for the chubby
A restaurant in Jiangbei district, Southwest China's Chongqing municipality, urged customers to bring their overweight friends to eat for free, Chongqing Evening News reported on Wednesday.
The restaurant, whose slogan is "caring for the overweight and the lean", stipulates that the heavier adult male customers are, the greater the discount. If a man weighs more than 140 kg, he and his friends eat for free if the bill is less than 888 yuan ($144). A similar rule applies to thin women. An adult female customer who weighs under 34.5 kg can also enjoy a free meal.
