Woman survives seven days in 20-meter hole

This is a true version of Man vs Wild, a reality show that charts survival in uninhabited places.

A 78-year-old woman managed to survive seven days and nights by only licking water off a rock after she slipped into a 20-meter-deep hole in Dazhou, Southwest China's Sichuan province, Chengdu Economic Daily reported on Thursday.

The deep hole is a funnel-shaped subterraneous karst cave which is rich in oxygen at the bottom, said a researcher with the local Land and Resources Bureau. The old lady did not suffer serious injury when she fell down and received sufficient oxygen at the bottom of the hole.

Our next story shows how a driver fell from a six-meter-high platform.
