Two-year-old boy rescues drowning toddler

A two-and-a-half-year-old boy became a hero after running 400 meters to alert adults of his playmate's distress in Wuhan, Central Hubei province, on Jan 17, Wuhan Evening News reported.

The boy was playing with a 2 -year-old girl who accidently slipped into a deep pond. According to the boy's grandmother, he ran home to alert the adults. She says she was surprised by the cool-headed nature of her grandson.

The girl was saved by adults and is now in the hospital recuperating.
