Father, son hit right button with Transformers
While the Hollywood blockbuster Transformers series swept China with viewers spending billions to watch the films, two farmers in a Chinese village instead are making money out of the transformers.
Yu Zhilin and his son Yu Lingyun make giant transformers models, some of which are as tall as 20 meters, from waste auto parts, earning more than 1 million yuan ($160,000) annually in Caotian village, Hengyang county, Central China's Hunan province, Xinhua News Agency reported.
The two began making giant transformers models in 2007. They spent three years studying and completing the first models. Their hard work began paying off when many customers started coming to buy or rent the models.
