Grannies dance own routine in Tian' anmen Square

Although the sports and culture authorities of China have recently rolled out 12 standard exercises to regulate square dancing, five grannies danced to their own choreography in Tian’anmen Square, reported cfp.cn.

The five middle-aged women from Heilongjiang province performed their latest routine using footballs in the square on March 31. The use of footballs seemed to support the country’s recent efforts to promote football in China.

However, a few minutes into the grannies’ performance, they were ordered to stop dancing after many people gathered to watch.
