Green algae emerges off in Qingdao
Green algae, or enteromorpha prolifera, is multiplying in the sea in the East China coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province. On Saturday, it surrounded fishing boats berthed at the seashore.
So what looks like a green carpet surrounded fishing boats in Qingdao is actually enteromorpha prolifera, a sea plant that reproduces rapidly and puts swimmers at risk, dfic.cn reported.
