Warrior monk's head hump
In Changchun, Jilin province of northeast China, warrior monks practice Kungfu everyday in Wanshou Temple. They train hard to master the art like characters in a Kung fu novel by Louis Cha Leung-yung.
Master Si Fa, 34, a warrior monk in the temple, has been following the designated schedule for 19 years since he came to the temple at age 15. Every day, monks get up around 5 in the morning, spending six to seven hours training and they sleep around 9 every night. Each one of them sticks to this grueling schedule with great discipline, even an 11-year-old kid, the youngest monk among them.
"While I'm training, if I fail to control my breath properly, I will bleed while hitting a rock with my head." said Si Fa, "I even fall unconscious sometimes." He showed to reporters the hump on his head he got from doing this, as a badge of his hard work.
That's all for today's trending, do check back tomorrow for more.
