Millionaire turns from hermit to monk
A man, who gave up a million-yuan salary and lived in a secluded mountain for two years, has become a monk after taking a tonsure at Baochan temple in Hanshan county, Anshan of East China's Anhui province on Monday, cfp.cn reported.
Liu Jingchong, a native from Guangdong province, used to enjoy an annual income of over one million yuan ($160,000) by running his own business. Two years ago, he felt tired with the extravagant urban lifestyle and diverted attention to his inner life by living a minimalist life on Zhongnan Mountain, Northwest China's Shaanxi province.
Liu has been hoping to become a monk, and spent most of his days meditating, reading, and practicing calligraphy on Zhongnan Mountain.
