Proposal with lychees
Hundreds of lychees became part of a marriage proposal for a man surnamed Dong, from Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi province.
Dong placed lychees, for which he paid more than 2,000 yuan ($322), in a heart pattern on a pedestrian bridge and waited for the woman, dfic.cn reported.
Dong knelt on one knee, with a lychee in his hands, and asked the woman: " will you marry me? I love you sincerely, although I have no house, car or much money. "
"You are too childish, we will talk about it later," the woman said with a blush and then turned to leave.
Dong and the woman have been known for three years, but Dong hasn't enough courage to confess his love for her, although he is very fond of her.
'I will make persistent efforts, though she turned me down', Dong said.
