Flaunting photos give burglars away

Two burglars who photographed themselves gleefully with the money they stole never thought their triumphant photos would land them in jail, but that is exactly what happened, gmw.cn reported.

The duo broke into a house in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality a few months ago and stole 5,100 yuan ($801 dollars).

Back at a hotel, they took photos to record their "victory", and arranged the 100-yuan RMB banknotes to form two Chinese characters, qiong ren, meaning poor men with little money.

One of the burglars, surnamed Deng, was nabbed by the Chongqing police for another theft a couple of days ago, and the flaunting photos in Deng's smart phone in which his accomplice Tang posed with the money tipped the police off to find Tang.

Tang was later caught in South China's Guangdong province.
