An 80-year-old man from Dazhou city, Southwest China's Sichuan province, recently caught the public's eye by displaying a white dress he designed and made.
Liao Dezhong is committed to developing and modifying tailored clothing, a response to the anger he felt after his phone was stolen. He added pockets and zippers to his clothes and has more than 10 creations now, reported scnews.newssc.org, a Sichuan news portal.
"A white long dress is my primary design element this year; I decided to design red clothing next year. Each costume costs less than 60 yuan($9)," Liao told a reporter.
"He was a carpenter. He has displayed his clothing since last year and received the public's diverse views. I only hope he lives happily," Liao's son told a reporter.
