Many awkward replicas of world famous architecture or scenic spots have been built in China.
Now we have another. A copy of the Eiffel Tower has been built in Haikou, Hainan province, and is starting to receive attention from the public.
The copy is about 20 meters tall and is painted a golden color. It was built as part of a plan to encourage people to shoot photos.
In a previous report, China has built replicas of other famous and iconic buildings and sights, such as Egypt's Great Pyramid and Sphinx, the Capitol in Washington, UAE's Burj Al Arab Hotel and Italy's Venice.
