Drone covers news
Photographers of the Shandong branch of Xinhua News Agency have attempted to jazz up their coverage by using unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) or drones in Linyi, East China's Shandong province on Sunday, Xinhua.net reported.
According to the report, the drones, equipped with high-definition cameras and 360 degree intelligence cloud platform, could give people a new perspective on topography, enabling us to view magnificent scenes from the sky.
Hundreds of photographers will become the first batch of aerial reporters.
Earlier, in January, CNN partnered with the US Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to research the use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) or drones for covering news in populated areas.
