Boutique with the name of 'ISIS' clear of relationship with terrorist group

A clothing store in Shenzhen, Guangdong province came to the attention of local police recently, all because its name, "ISIS", is the same as the abbreviation of the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham, the terrorist group responsible for the Nov 13 Paris attack, thepaper.cn reported on Thursday.

After a thorough investigation, police confirmed that the clothing store had nothing to do with the terrorist group.

The store owner said she opened the shop two years ago. It was named "ISIS" because it is supposed to sound like the Chinese word "meaning".

According to the report, local police have recommended that the owner rename the store to avoid any misunderstanding.
