Neighbors mistake father for child trafficker

A couple undergoing a divorce caused chaos in Dongguan, Guangdong province when they fought over their child on Wednesday.

Three men driving a car and took a child onboard while people who claimed they were the child's family intercepted and stopped the car. Neighbors and passersby soon helped surround the car.

Neighbors pressed one man against the car since a woman was chasing him and shouted "he grabbed my kid!" The woman kept telling the neighbors her child was taken by three men.

Many people believed her story then took pictures and put them on the Internet.

However, the story completely changed when police came to the site. It turns out one of the three men is the child's father and the other two are relatives.

According to the men, the child's mother bought a house with someone else and raised the child without their knowledge. They've been looking for the child quite a while so they wanted to take the child away to raise him themselves now they finally found him.

The local police said the case was of parents fighting over custody of the child.
