Lavishly costumed wedding mistaken for film shooting
Photos of a luxurious wedding with the newly-weds dressed in ancient costumes and sporting many gold accessories and luxury cars went viral on Monday.
The groom, reportedly the son of a rich business family in Macao, dressed like an emperor while leading a group of groomsmen dressed like ancient soldiers on a street in one photo, while the bride wore about a hundred gold bracelets in several strings around her neck and gold hairpins on her head in another photo.
The wedding was held in Sanxiang township, Zhongshan of South China's Guangdong province, South Metropolis Daily reported.
"At first I thought someone was shooting a film, and soon after I heard that it was a real wedding ceremony," said a neighbor surnamed Yang.
