Ecuador's decision last week to grant political asylum to Julian Assange will roil geopolitics and society in numerous ways, much like earlier chapter in the high-stakes saga of WikiLeaks and its founder. Ecuador's President earlier stated that it is a "sovereign" decision of his country to grant asylum to Assange, who weeks to avoid being extradited to Sweden,
where he is wanted for alleged sexual assault charges.
