Chongqing's giant hotpot
Chinese people never lack passion and ingenuity when it comes to food, particularly if it's spicy. The Seventh National Hotpot Festival kicked off Thursday in Chongqing, a Southwestern China's municipality city widely known as the origin of hotpot.
A 10-meter diameter, 1 meter tall hotpot weighing 31 tons, reportedly the biggest hotpot in China, served about fifty people at the same time. The pot was divided in two, with half containing light flavored broth and the other half, a spicy broth.
