Boy endured being bullied for keeping long hair for charity
8-year-old Christian McPhilamy from Melbourne, Florida grew his hair for more than two years after watching an internet commercial for donating one's hair to children who lost their hair due to medical treatment.
Being called a girl and misunderstood by others has not prevented Christian's wish to do good.
Christian's mother said that once a man criticized Christian's long hair and told him to cut it, but once he found out what Christian's goal was, he apologized sincerely.
Christian carried out his mission. After a haircut last month, he donated his 10-inch long blond hair to children he does not even know through Helping Children With Hair Loss, a non-profit organization committed to helping children who have medically-related hair loss.
