China's stocks close up Tuesday

BEIJING - China's stocks edged up Tuesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.09 percent, or 2.32 points, to finish at 2,708.98 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed up 0.31 percent, or 36.96 points, to end at 11,771.59 points.
Combined turnover shrank to 118.37 billion yuan ($17.96 billion) from 182.30 billion yuan on the previous trading day.
