China to sell 30b yuan of book-entry T-bonds

BEIJING - China's Ministry of Finance (MOF) said Wednesday it will sell 30 billion yuan ($4.5 billion) worth of book-entry treasury bonds this week.

The 10-year bonds have a fixed annual interest rate of 3.83 percent, the ministry said in a statement on its website.

The bonds will be sold from Thursday to next Monday and become tradable on exchange markets starting next Wednesday.

Interests on the bonds will be paid when the bonds mature on March 17, 2021.

The bonds will be the ministry's eighth issue of book-entry Treasury bonds this year.
