Hong Kong stocks close 0.23% lower

HONG KONG -- Hong Kong stocks fell 53.63 points, or 0.23 percent, to close at 23,261.61 on Thursday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 23,348.33 and 23,167.93. Turnover totaled HK$67.46 billion ($8.68 billion).
