Chinese shares open slightly lower Monday

BEIJING -- Chinese shares opened lower on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.20 percent to 2,704.49.

The Shenzhen Component Index lost 0.32 percent to 11,456.31.
