BEIJING - China's electricity consumption continued to gather pace in November, up 7.6 percent year-on-year to 413.9 billion kilowatt-hours (kwh), data from the National Energy Administration showed Friday.

The rate was higher than October's 6.1-percent rise, marking the second straight month of accelerations, according to the NEA data.

The country's electricity consumption climbed 5.1 percent in the first 11 months compared with one year earlier. The pace of increase was also higher than the 4.9-percent growth registered during the January-October period.
