German industrial equipment maker Bosch said on Thursday that it plans to continue its expansion in China in coming years, as China is a stabilizing factor in the world economy, and its huge demand helps produce many job opportunities.
Uwe Raschke, who is in charge of Bosch’s Asia Pacific business, said the company's business in China achieved a double-digit growth rate during the first half of this year, and will maintain this momentum in the second half.
Bosch’s revenue increased from 2.2 billion euros (US$2.9 billion) in 2008 to 5.1 billion euros in 2012. The company plans to increase its workforce in China from 35,000 to 50,000 to meet the production expansion.
