EU starts investigation on China soy protein

The European Commission has announced it will initiate an anti-dumping investigation on soy protein imports from China, the 21st Business Herald reported Thursday, citing a notice from the commission.

The Commission is to investigate the alleged products with CN codes ex 2106 10 20, ex 2106 90 92, ex 2309 90 10, ex 2309 90 99 and ex 3504 00 90.
The Commission said it may limit the exporting producers who will be investigated by selecting a sample and will request Chinese exporters to submit information on their status.
Information exporters will have to submit will include contact information, turnover and exporting volumes to the EU. Companies will have to submit to the commission within 15 days of the date of publication of the notice, the paper said.
