The scandal-hit Da Vinci Furniture Ltd has finally fronted up to customers regarding settlement of claims, Cnr.cn reported Thursday.
A salesperson from Da Vinci's Beijing outlet told the reporter that the company is willing to be responsible to customers, but unconditional return of goods is not accepted.
According to the salesperson, customers can return goods and receive a refund or an exchange if they can show a report from an authority which proves the furniture they bought has quality problems, the website said.
The reporter noted that sending the furniture for sampling tests was a complicated process during which it was very likely the look of the furniture would be damaged. It is the very reason most consumers were reluctant to do so, according to the news report.
