China Red Cross donates $50K to Pakistan flood relief

ISLAMABAD - As a token of friendship of the Chinese people towards Pakistani people, the Red Cross Society of China has decided to donate $50,000 in cash as an emergency aid to Pakistan.

This donation is handed over by Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Liu Jian to Dr. Zafar Iqbal Qadir, chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority in a meeting on Monday.

The Chinese government has announced on Sunday that it will provide an emergency humanitarian aid worth 30 million RMB (about $4.7 million) to the Pakistani government to help its flood relief efforts.
