ZHENGZHOU - Seven people died and 13 were injured when a concrete mixer crashed into a motorized tricycle in Central China's Henan Province early Friday, local authorities said.
The accident happened around 5:30 am at a crossing near a high-tech development zone of the provincial capital Zhengzhou, the provincial safety administration said in a press release.
It said the injured people, including 10 serious cases, were being treated at three local hospitals.
Most of the victims were workers on board the motorized tricycle who were en route to work, but the document did not give their names.
The safety administration has sent a team to help investigate the accident.
The two drivers have been taken away by police for interrogation, official sources said.
