A new tower will dominate the capital's skyline by the year 2016, Beijing News reported.
China Zun, a 528-meter building, will dwarf all the other buildings in the central business district in Beijing upon its completion.

The project is expected to cost 24 billion yuan ($3.78 billion), according to the CITIC Group, the building's developer.
The design of the building was inspired by zun, an ancient wine vessel.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held in September 2011 in Beijing, and the 108-story building is expected to be finished in 2016.
The tower will function mainly as an office building, according to the group.
