Guangdong congress delegates voice spending hopes

Some delegates to Guangdong provincial people's congress said they hope per capita government spending in the southern province can be raised to the national average.
They were speaking during the annual session of the congress that ended on Monday.
Excluding the city of Shenzhen, per capita government spending in Guangdong ranks 27th among China's provinces, Including Shenzhen, it ranks 21st, the Southern Metropolis Daily reported.
In contrast, government revenue in Guangdong has been in top position for the past two decades.
Guangdong has the largest population among the provinces, including more than 16 million migrant workers.
