Survey shows smoking prevails in Beijing

Only 25.6 percent of the leading officials in 151 institutions in Beijing do not smoke, according to a survey conducted in Beijing.
In June, Beijing started a non-smoking campaign at 100 institutions..
The Beijing Patriotic Health Campaign Committee Office recently conducted a survey among 151 institutions and found 74.4 percent of leading officials there smoke.
According to Liu Zejun, chief of the office, nearly 1.9 million people, at or above the age of 15, smoke in Beijing.
