Russian PM arrives in Beijing for China visit

BEIJING - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev arrived in Beijing early on Tuesday for an official visit to China at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.
During Medvedev's stay in Beijing, he and Li will co-chair the 18th regular prime ministers' meeting between China and Russia. The regular meeting mechanism, launched in 1996, is an important platform to outline cooperation between the two countries.
On Tuesday, Medvedev will also meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and top legislator Zhang Dejiang, respectively.
After the meeting with Li, Medvedev is scheduled for an online talk with Chinese netizens via Xinhuanet.com, an online news provider of Xinhua News Agency.
Apart from Beijing, Medvedev will also visit east China's Anhui province.
