The 5th Cross-Straits Modern Agricultural Fair & 15th Cross-Straits Flower Expo kicked off in Zhangzhou, Fujian province, on Nov 18.
Jointly organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and the Fujian provincial government, the five-day event aims to deepen cross-Straits exchanges and cooperation in agriculture and horticulture.
This year's event attracted more than 100 Taiwan enterprises to promote business and exhibit new machinery and fertilizers.
Research agencies on both sides of the Taiwan Straits have also been invited to join symposiums during the fair to discuss the development of new technology.
