Overseas Chinese conclude congress with new leadership

BEIJING - The ninth national congress of returned overseas Chinese and their relatives concluded in Beijing on Thursday with a new leadership elected.
Lin Jun was elected chairman of the ninth committee of the All-Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (AFROC), with 18 vice chairpersons and a secretary-general elected.
The congress also elected 152 members to the standing committee of the ninth AFROC committee.
The congress called on all returned overseas Chinese to fully implement the essence of key meetings of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the speeches by President Xi Jinping so as to better serve returned overseas Chinese.
Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao and other senior officials attended the closing ceremony of the congress.
