A civil servant in Hong Kong posted a toilet map of Hong Kong on his micro blog account recently, saying he wanted to improve understanding between people in Hong Kong and on the Chinese mainland, The Beijing News reported on Thursday.
The man, known as Zhongliu Qingnian online, moved to Hong Kong from Shandong province when he was 13 years old and now works as a civil servant there.
After spending half a day touring the downtown area of Hong Kong, he created the map and posted it online on April 27.
A few days earlier, a couple from the mainland let their child urinate on a street in Hong Kong, causing disputes with some local residents.
The toilet map has received hits and praise from thousands of people, who also expressed the hope people from the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong will try to better understand each other.
