BEIJING - The seventh Cross-Straits cultural industries fair will be held next month in the port city of Xiamen in southeast China's Fujian Province, a mainland spokesman said Wednesday.
More than 800 of the 2,400 booths at the fair will be occupied by Taiwanese companies and cultural organizations, Ma Xiaoguang, spokesman for the State Council's Taiwan Affairs Office, told a regular press conference.
Various forums as well as exhibitions of crafts, design, digital media and tourism will be held during the event between Oct 24 and 27.
Ma described the fair as an important platform for cultural communication and cooperation between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan since its launch in 2008.
