Disconnection from the Internet is No 1 on a top-10 list of "tortures," according to a survey on China's Twitter-like microblogging site Sina Weibo.
Over 1,500 users voted in the seven hours after the survey began. The options also included losing weight, getting up early, spoilers, and missing someone.
Losing an Internet connection was ranked the most unbearable thing by 33 percent of all voters. One netizen wrote that being without Internet access is like being sentenced to death.
The second worst torture, listed by 22 percent of respondents, is having to get up early in the morning.
About 10 percent ranked missing somebody as a type of torture.
At the bottom of the list is having to get along with a Virgo, an option that stirred hilarious debate.
Some netizens suggested that poverty should make the list as the biggest torture.
