Former Chinese President Hu Jintao took the stage to sing the song "Ode to Motherland" at the evening galas on the 60th anniversary celebration of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 15th anniversary of Hong Kong's return.
He also sang Russian folk song "Night in the Suburb of Moscow" on the stage during the 8th National Congress of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the 7th National Congress of the Chinese Writers Association.
Hu was a member of a dance group at Tsinghua University. His classmate Ju Hongfu said that Hu was good at dancing in college.
