Adventure of the lost $157,400
We are taught since childhood to call the police when we lose valuable items on the street. But what happens if it's 1 million yuan in cash that goes missing?
A man, surnamed Dong, and his friends left 1 million yuan in cash packed in a suitcase in the trunk of a taxi during the early hours on Thursday in Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi province, Xi'an Evening News reported.
Failing to recall the car's plate number, Dong called the police for help. The police spent a heart-pounding night before finding the taxi driver, who still on duty.
