China values the push Internet will provide to the education sector and the influence it will have on youths' growth, said Du Zhanyuan, vice-minister of Education, at a sub forum at World Internet Conference in Wuzhen on Wednesday.

He said Internet turns the world into a village where people can have the privilege to explore different cultures and form friendships.

Zhou Changkui, vice-president of All-China Youth Federation, echoed Du's words saying youth are active Internet users as well as the creators of the Internet society.

He said youth need to communicate more and strengthen their friendships.

Zheng Jiwei, vice-governor of Zhejiang province, expressed confidence on developing and investing in innovation entrepreneurship as companies such as Alibaba Inc grow into Internet giants in Zhejiang.
