Hailed as one of the world's biggest gatherings of book lovers and publishers, this year the fair is attracting 2,162 publishers from 78 countries and regions to the new China International Exhibition Center in Beijing.
During the fair, key publishing forums are drawing international publishers who will discuss new publishing trends and Chinese books going global, with a focus on digitalization and copyright trades.
Literature events are highlighted as usual, with writers from China, Turkey, Russia, Germany and Scandinavia scheduled to meet fans and exchange with each other, said Wu Wei on a BIBF press release on Monday. Wu is the party chief of China National Publications Import & Export (Group) Corporation, one of the BIBF organizers.
Each night during the fair, there will be a BIBF Writers Night at Sanlian Joint Publishing Bookstore.
