Colored pottery camel unearthed from Tang Dynasty tomb

Over 70 funerary objects, including figurines of Hu people (a general term for people of non-Han origin)and potteries of camel and horse, are unearthed from a couple's tomb of Tang Dynasty (618-907) in Huayin, Central China's Shaanxi province, Dec 4, 2014. Song Su, the owner of this tomb, used to be a county magistrate of Dunhuang during the reign of Emperor Gaozong (649 to 683) of Tang Dynasty, according to Liu Daiyun, an associate researcher from Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology. Experts think that the discovery of this tomb will provide materials for researches on the history of cultural exchange on the Silk Road. [Photo/China News Agency]
