Shanghai K11 Art Mall will host an exhibition of Salvador Dali's works from Nov 5 to Feb 15, 2016, Juan Sevillano, managing director of the Gala-Salvador Dali Foundation recently announced in Shanghai. It is the only Dali exhibition in China to be authorized by the foundation since 2001, he said.
Media Dali will feature the Spanish surrealist master on various publications, and 12 of his original paintings as well as some of the utensils of which he worked, will be on show.
Dali (1904-89), a prominent artist from Catalonia, Spain, was perhaps among the first artists of the 20th century to understand the power of mass media.
The foundation was founded by Dali himself in 1983, with the mission to manage and promote the assets, works and copyrights of the artist.
Presale of the exhibition tickets have started via ticket agent Eticket (ticket2010.com) and Douban (douban.com), as well as other authorized agencies, at discounts.
