More than 100 artworks from Paris' famous gallery, the Louvre, will travel to the National Museum of China next month.

The exhibition, from Jan 13 through March 31, will provide a glimpse of the Louvre's development from the perspective of its architecture and relationship between dignitaries and artists.

The Louvre show will be one of the early highlights of the French Embassy's 2017 cultural program in China. The program features a variety of events on visual art, music, film and literature.

The 22nd edition of the Francophonie Festival will take place in March, with a focus on the Maghreb region in north Africa. Algerian writers Boualem Sansal and Kamel Daoud will talk about their works.

The Croisements Festival's dynamic program includes Moliere plays and baroque music.
