Folk artist Jia Shujuan has spent a month weaving nearly 100 roosters out of palm fiber ahead of the lunar Chinese New Year.
After being carefully selected, palm leaves are fumigated and dried in the shade, then weaved, pasted and shaped. Jia's skillful hands, constantly pulling, folding, cutting and inserting, transform the palm fiber into vivid roosters.
