Romance in a Courtyard and Qin Han

The novel was adapted into a film in 1971 and a TV series in 1987. It is a love story between the son of a businessman and a woman worker from his family's tea garden.

The film starred Qin Han, who appeared in many other TV and film adaptations of Qiong's novels. Qin Han's fine acting skills were noted in Taiwan at the time. Along with another three popular actors and actresses, Brigitte Lin, Fengjiao Lin, Charlie Qin, they were called the "Two Lins and Two Qins" in Taiwan.
