Jing Tian stars in summer cinema romance

After starring a couple of international blockbusters, Chinese actress Jing Tian returns to the domestic movie set.
In the coming-of-age romance Fist & Faith, which will hit the country's screens on July 14, Jing stars as a high school teacher. Set in a fictional senior high, the movie centers on the brotherhood of four teenagers and their resistance to a bullying group on the campus.
Jing, 28, has grabbed Western attention with her role in Zhang Yimou's fantasy epic Great Wall, and Jordan Vogt-Roberts' monster thriller Kong: Skull Island.
Jing reveals that her character will have a teacher-student romance in the movie.
The cast also includes rising actors Ou Hao, Zhang Ningjiang, Zhou You and Japanese actress Meisa Kuroki.
The directorial debut of scriptwriter-turned helmer Jiang Zhuoyuan, Fist & Faith is produced by Taiwan filmmaker Doze Niu.
