Joe Manganiello spends a lot of his time shooting 'True Blood' "naked in broad daylight with someone waving raw meat" in front of a wolf.

The 34-year-old actor plays werewolf Alcide in the vampire TV series and because a lot of his scenes involve him transforming into a beast he has often bare naked with his 120lb American timber wolf co-star, but he insists he doesn't get nervous on set.

During a TV interview with Chelsea Lately, he said: "There's a trainer behind you waving raw meat over your shoulder to try to get [the timber wolf] to do what they want. And being a werewolf and transforming [into one] when he's around ... I'm usually naked in broad daylight with someone waving raw meat with like school buses of kids showing up!"

Joe - who appears in the series with Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer - insists he gets own well with his canine co-star.

Speaking about his four-legged friend, he said: "He likes me. Timber wolves are great."

The hunky actor has no problem getting naked on screen, because nudity and sex are such key elements to the show.

He added: "My manager used to say, 'I don't mind getting f***ed, as long as everybody else is getting f***ed too.' That's kinda how it is with the nudity!"
